Default Downhaul rope, damaged

I have NS sails, S-Type 9,5, S-Type 7,8 and WARP 6,8 with NS PLATINUM mast. For all sails I need a lot of downhaul force if I want lose leech up to the mark. I use 4mm dyneema ropes, but tension on the rope is so high that rope is damaged in cleat just after a few rigging procedures. I have tried different mast base extensions with different cleats and different ropes, with same result. Now I want to now if others have same problem or if somebody knows the solution for this problem, because I can’t imagine that people are changing downhaul rope for every rigging.
