People are either not honest or too optimistic about the wind conditions.There is a lot of snobbery too against longboards. A guy at my local spot told me that my Kona must be very old, and inquired how much. He was surprised it was modern, but showed no further interest. Since then, I've seen him twice swim to get out of situations where I had no problem at all.
Coachg is right: the conditions will dictate the solution. |
