sails for i sonic 117 2012

Hello , i bought a I sonic 117 2012 .It 's a very good board My slalom sails is a North 8.6 RAM F 11 . I want to buy an other sails for windy days , I am 87 kg . Do you think that it's possible to put 7 m on this board or it's to small ? Is it better to buy a 7.8 ?

My answer to that will be buy the 7.6m sail and forget about the 7.0m sail.
This board has a lot of volume and you are not a heavy guy this board wont be easy to control in 7.0conditions.
7.6 m sail is very versatile.

I agree that it's the conditions, not the board. Sure a 7.0 will work fine, but if you are using it in 20+ knots, and likely rough water, it will be a bumpy ride. If you are in protected water and the chop is small, no problem.

I frequently use a 6.6 on my iS 111, and it works great, but it's the chop and pounding that soon drives me to a 105 liter bump and jump board with a smoother ride.

Hi

Before giving any advice is your board the 117 wide or the normal 117,

if its the normal one you will do just fine with the 7.0 and hard winds but if you bought the wide at hard winds it can easily get very bumpy , the 7.0 is still good on the wide.
