Default Starboard Isonic 117 2012

Hello,

I'm owner of Isonic 2011 117 carbon and now I'm buying new board.
Because of my weight (97kg's) I need enough big board, but not too many width, so I'm looking for 75cm's wide board.
Our conditions are choppy, wind most of time from cca.13-25kn, my sails are 7.8 and 8.6.

I decided for Isonic 2012 117.
Now I'm wondering wich are pros and cons for carbon vs. wood board.

thank you for answers

Matic

Hi Matic

Sounds like you already have the perfect board or are you wanting to swap your iS117 for something else?

Wood Vs Carbon. I'm still using the older 2011 iSonics. I first bought them in carbon, but I found them very uncomfortable to use for a full day sailing in choppy waters. I sold them and replaced them with the wood iSonics. I found the wood versions where much easier and more fun for full days sailing. Plus they cost less
