On last years Enigma boom I just use the regular blue clamp...
Did they change the diameter this year?

Arden,

No worries, glad you've found a pair of CL134 clamp for your boom.

Krister,

Yes, big time change in arm diameter, especially at the back end right after the race kick on the new 2014 boom :

1) Boom's arm tube. Bottom 2011 (arm diameter : 29 mm); top 2014 (arm diameter 33 mm).

2) Wide tails. Bottom 2011 (tube diameter : 25 mm); top 2014 (tube diameter : 30 mm). Note the upside-down clips of the 2014 boom (top right) as compared to the upside-up clips of the 2011 boom (center)

I'm using the single/double North webbing-type basic outhaul kit on both booms without any problems for 6.6, 7.7, 8.6 (single) or 11 m2 (double) racing sails:

Cheers !

JM

To help give detail on this issue, check out my blog post for pictures of the newly installed extra large clamcleats. http://arden-el11.blogspot.com/2014/...lamcleats.html

Thanks Again,
Arden
