have kode 112 should i get carve 121 or 131
My biggest board is a kode 112. I use it with 6.6 and sometimes 7.3.
I love it for messing around in onshore mush and it works well when powered up on 6.6. However I find that when its marginal I have to work hard to get it on the plane and I often spend a frustrating session on off the plane, losing ground downwind etc whilst people on bigger boards are happily blasting back and forth all day long.
So I'm going to get a bigger board to make the most if the marginal sunny summer days.
Should I get a carve 121 or a 131? Will I notice a sufficient difference between the carve 121 and the kode 112?
I want to be effortlessly blasting like the others. I weigh 80KG. Biggest sail I think will be 7.5.

get a 131. That's a real machine for lighter conditions and fits in your personal board range best. 7,5m fits fine. You can go well with a 8,5 m or larger, too.
for Noonewillanswer: Kode 113 (112) and Futura 121 are different board concepts, the Kode is a freemover, which works well in all terrains, would suggest not to go bigger than 8,0. The Futura 121 is a freeracer, which likes bigger sail sizes and flatter conditions. The board is 15cm longer compared to the Futura and 4,5 cm wider. You easily can go with a 8,5 or larger as the biggest sail.
The Futura 121 has more range towards lighter conditions, the Kode 113 (112) even works well in wavy conditions, if you get a bit shorter fin in.
Hope that helps,
