good sail for an Evo (for early planning!)
I've got myself a 74litre Evo. Been out once so far. Great Board, flies around! It's far more lively than my other 'classic' wave board, and is just perfect for my local spot in Ireland. Liked it so much I also just bought a 92 litre one.
The thing is, I'm wondering how big a sail I can use on the 74 litre. I hope to use a 5.8m or 6m.
Or, what kinds of sail generally work best on this board? (I need new sail too, hitting eBay) Any tips on how to adust the gear or my technique to allow this?
To try and re-phrase that- If I'm going to use a sail that's too big, what sort of sail should I use?
I notice the 'freestyle' sails generally mention 'early planning' as an attribute. So I guess that's a sail-type giving best chance of working on a too-small board?
My technique in general is probably relatively ok, I've been sailing a god few years. I was always comfortable on my 84 litre wave board with 6m 'freeride' sail. I'm 67kg, by the way.
