I have heard, that north do have some problems with the carbon Power XTR extender, breaking after a short use. I were told, that all from Grand Caniaria renting shops has been replaced.
From last year's model I can see that North has changed the design from a metal ring to a plastic ring - (to avoid the breaking?) Anybody who can confirm or comment on these rumors. Yours Hans |

I assume there was a reason for the XTR II ... and not just running the XTR on an ongoing basis.

According to North website there is no carbon Power XTR extender; you refer to the Power.XTR extension (aluminum) or to the Needle Carbon POWER.XT?
I own a Power.XTR S 28 cm and so far I’m amazed, but I haven’t used it that much, so I’m kind of worried on your comments, please specify. Best regards |

I have been using the North XTR with my V8 10.6m 2004 model sail for more than a year without any problems.

It's the North Needle XTR carbon extender that has broken after 10 times of use in normal flat water. It would be nice to know if it's a general problem or if I has just been unlucky.
