Default Good choice ?

hi all,

I am interesting in to buy the new Kombat 107lt.
my weight is 80 kg.

My previous board is 103lt but very narrow than Kombat.
( now 57cm kombat 65cm ).

Generaly I use sails 5.7 & 6.4
in my spot , generally there is little choppy with small waves too.
Do you believe that is the right choice for me ?
The lts is ok or its too much ?

Thanks for your time
bye , spak.

I like alot the Kombats. They are perfect for the sail sizes that you are using. I would give serious thought to the 97 as you will have alot more stability with the new board due to it's width and it will still work just gret with your 6.4.

Kevin hi,
My board now is a fanatic bee 274x57 103lt.
Do you believe that the two boards (with kombat 107) have the same characteristics ? (more or less)
I am very saitsfied with fanatic, and i want to continue.
Some friends told me that if the board is wider you dont need more
litres. Is it true? because with fanatic i am in the limit.

The choise to 97lt I think its too short.
I am 80 kg. ( you see i am eating all my breakfast and more...)
Thanks for your time,
spak.

I agree with Matt on this one. The K107 will feel a LOT bigger than your current Bee. The K97 has a little less volume (still +17 liters) but it is a lot wider. The width offers stability, and also pushes the board to the surface immediately when it moves a little.

However, the Bee is a lot more freeride oriented than the Kombat (i.e. quite different characteristics). A similarly sized Carve would be more like the Bee, earlier planing and faster for blasting.

I do think that the Carve 101 would be an ideal fit for you. The C111 is almost 66 cm wide and will sail like a bigger board. Remember that there already between the Bee and the C101 is a 4.5 cm width difference.

I am sure you will enjoy it.

regards
PG

P.S.
I actually had a Bee 264 a long time ago. It was really slalom board fast...
