Stickers For Sails: Good Or Bad?

Are there any long (and short) term disadvantages of putting stickers (the ones made for the sails, not just any types of stickers) on your windsurf sails?

The pros have stickers all over their sails and they don't seem to hinder their performance. I have race numbers on all my sails (some over 10 years old) with no negative impact.

They will add a little weight, but not enough to matter. Go for it.

Beware cheap arse stickers !!!
They can be a pigs lug to get off.
Assuming you sell the sail at some point, buyers may not want the stickers and /or numbers.
They may also be suspicious that they are covering up damage.
Years ago in Boracay we were given "YO" yogurt stickers.....
It took an act of God to remove them.

i have the ION, Pat-Love and Starboard stickers, all of which came from the brand distributor. How do you know if they are cheap?
