Problem with new overdrive 2011 8.5

Hello
I bought a new severne overdrive 8.5 2011
I am surprised and disappointed that my mast severne red line 4.9 (2006 I think) doesn't fit properly the sail.
The 3 cambers don't turn at all !
and one camber is just on metallic red part of the mast!
Without any spacers it's just better but not good.
It’s very hard to apply full downhaul tension (10 cm of extention).
What's wrong ? perhaps Severne change diameters and bend of his new red masts.
Any tips or I must change mast ?

I take off all spacers exept the one in bottom and put teflon on cambers and more downhaul tension and now it's seems ok. Thanks to the severne french team who show me how to rig my sail.

Does that gonna happen in all sail sizes? I also have a blueline 540, from 2007 I think, and was thinking on getting the 2011 OD, should also worry about mast diameter? thats lame...

Hi Naturel

The curve and diameter of the masts have not changed and there is no problem that the camber is on the ring of the ferule. The rider can remove a spacer to offset this if he likes. Is the rider using a severne extension with all 4 pulleys used?

No problem using a 2007 BLUE Line with the new 2011 OD.

@Naturel - could you please explain how you did this: "put teflon on cambers" - like how and what type etc etc. Thanks.

Anyone else have input on using teflon on cambers ? Does it work ? How to apply ? What type ? Etc etc.

Perhaps other suggestions on how to get better cam rotation.
