Yes attempts but nothing accepted for Yardstick or Olympic racing and they were pretty ineffectual anyhow.
Go to any Dinghy presentation award anywhere in country and winners will all me weight challenged !!! 505 has an optimum crew weight of 23 stone . I`m 17 stone on my own !!! Dinghy world as it stands will never attract heavier sailors and no real attempts have been made to address the problem !! |
