I took out my iSonic 101 2010 for a first time yesterday. Great, fast board - BUT - because of my huge, thick bootied feet, I'm having hard time getting out of the front straps during the jibes. I'm going to try widening the strap by moving to one hole wide, per Roger's instructions.
However, I wonder if it would help to set the footstrap at the outer screw hole, rather than at the center. The straps have three holes for the screws. If I use a regular washer, rather than the serrated metal bar provided with the board, I should be able to set the footstrap screw at the outer edge of the footstrap. This would have the effect of moving the strap a little bit inboard. Is this a doomed idea? Thanks for any advice! |

Hi Troll,
The best option will be the 2012 foot straps that you can trim easy for your case or try to find a wider one. All the best

I set the straps one notch wider using the additional footstrap inserts. It's much easier to get in/out of the straps even with the booties. No more problems. I decided it would be counterproductive to try to set the front strap more inboard, since it's helpful to have to foot out on the rail.
