Default Go 171

Hello,

Just wondering how the Go 171 sails. Yes, it's large but beyond that?
How does it handle in 18-25 mph winds? Does it mind chop?
This would be for a 200 pound windsurfer.

Hey:

Donut have the GO 171, butt a similiar board and weigh more than you
For me a board of this size is good to about 20 knots which is ~ 20 mph
After that - as you said, the chop starts
Above 20 knots with some chop at my/our weight, i prefer a smaller, narrower board
NOT to say it cannot be done
I have sailed a 7-oh in overpowering conditions on a similiar board
it's just that i feel it is a rougher ride than on a smaller, narrower board
ie you have to work a little harder and donut bite your tongue :-)

good winds
