Hi everybody!
i am 45, 178cm, 78kg. (level - medium. water start and non-planing jibe no problem) i have formula sb hwr 2011 (with 11m sail), sb futura 133L (with 7.8, 9.0m sails) 2009, tabu rocket 95L (with 5, 6.2m sail) 2010. i am going to sell futura with sails and get slalom board. Question 1. what would be your recommendation, which board to take between formula 100cm wide and tabu 58cm wide for sail 8.6 considering that i have to have a chance to uphaul sail when there is no wind? Question 2. I am thinking about 117 or 117w for sail 8.6. Which one is better for me and why.? what is the difference between this boards? what are advantages and disadvantages 117 and 117w? Question 3. how big is the difference between 117 (w) 2012 and 121 2010? Question 4. i am planing to get race sail Neil Pryde 8.6 RS-SLALOM or RS-RACING Which one would be better for slalom board 117(w) and why? i do not race, but when i am with my friends on the water i want to be fastest. Thank You in advance. Vladimir. ps sorry my french

Hi Vladimir
I recommend you the 117 Wide who deliver highest performances with 8.6 and also more easy to up haul due to extra widft. But also have really high performances in 7.8 and 9.3. Recommend you also more a Reflex III who are really light and will be the winning combination ![]() The 117 is an evolution of the 121 but the 117 Wide is a new concept and the difference between this 2 boards (121 vs 117 Wide) are quiet big in planning, acceleration, top end speed, average speed, control and exit jibe. With this combination 117 Wide/Severne Refex III 8.6 you can be sure to make your friends get crazy ![]() Have fun All the best

Hi Vladimir,
Ok I try the Evo III and the Reflex II and definitely prefer the Severne one who is way more light in your hand and on the scale. The power is more smooth and top end speed is more easy to get and faster. So didn't try yet the Reflex III but know what they do on it and this one make another step forward, so sure a good one and the II match perfectly the iSonic and III are developed on iSonic too. What ever you choose have fun. All the best

Hi Vladimir,
If you choose NP, I wouldn't go for the RS:Slalom. In my opinion, the RS Racing is much easier to control in the high end and much more stable. It's just a much easier sail FOR EVERYONE, not only for the pro's. I know that some speed addicts like the RS:Slalom, but I find it very nervous and "too direct" compared to the RSR. I was always very quickly overpowered with the RS:Slalom. Just my personal experience.

Hi Vladimir,
I would try the MauiSail TR7 XT, it is light powerful and very stable with a lot drive, and is very very easy to rig and tune, check it out you want loose. Good Sailing Dani |

Forget to mention that MauiSail has an excellent customer service.
The TR7 8.4 will rig on a 460 Mast. |
