Default Allocation of weight

Hi - when I was out sailing on the weekend at the LOC I was struggling to move my weight from my back leg to my front leg and drive the board forward as opposed to hanging in my harness with all weight on my backleg. I was on a 122l iSonic and a 2009 9m Code Red.

Any help to resolve the issue is appreciated!

Hi...not a team member but if it helps.........If your weight is going through your back leg it is trying to compensate for effort from the back of the sail. In other words the centre of effort of the sail has moved back probably due to insufficient downhaul/leech twist. i sail the 133 Isonic and always have whatever sail I am using set on max downhaul......otherwise any gust or increase in wind and the efoort moves onto the back foot and you fly upwind whether you want to or not! Simple cure...pull on more downhaul or use a smaller sail.
