Default Futura 2015 90 liters - actual volume or marketing gimmick

Hi guys,

Congratulations on your new line up. So my question is - is the Futura 90 actually 90 or is it last year's 93 re-marketed at 90 liters? Also if it is 90 liters can you please tell me where have the liters been take off, from last year's Futura 93. Many thanks.

Hi Van,

The all board is 5mm thinner the reason why of this volume reduction who help to control in hi wind but also the new rocker from the latest iSonic generation with out tail kick.
So big progress in hi wind condition in very choppy condition.
Board was develop in Mui Ne

Many thanks for clarifying that Remi. Two more questions if I may.
a) I assume the planning characteristics of the board stay the same as the width and tail width both stay unaltered and

b) Why is it that you have not transferred the compact shapes of the iSonics to the Futuras.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi van,

Our objective is to make a FreeRace board with the same top performances as the iSonic but way more easy to use. So length to get easy planing and can tack, rails are very different too to facilitate the jibe and fin was chosen to have the smooth sensation as possible at fast speed. But except that the Futura have a lot from the iSonic with rocker line and outline except for the length of course.
Main difference with an iSonic is less agressive, less physical demand, so less sharp at the exit jibe and acceleration but top end speed are very similar and some times even better in really choppy condition.
Hope this help

All the best

Hi Remi, does the 90 have deep cutouts incorporating the length of the fin ?
