My Raptor 6.5 was bought discounted in the fall of '05. I don't think I have ever had to uphaul it. They definitely were built to last in the German tradition. I know I have a number of years left in it. If they have lightened it when they named it the Booster, that could easily mean that it isn't as sturdy. I've had incidents when lighter sails have failled me on the water. I recently chose, however, to stick to one of these manufactures over and above Gun for a 9.6 thinking quite well that it won't be so heavy. Not only that, I did see a good discount as I was buying an '06 in March. It doesn't seem all that necessary to keep up with the latest bells and whistles.

Thanks to all for your contributions. I actually went for the 8.1 sq m Tempo, hopefully the low end power is acceptable enough and the difficulty to sail much less...
