Is111 2007 Vs 2010
I am looking at a couple of Isonic 111 - a 2007 and 2010 board. When I look at the Specs, the boards seem very similar. Both boards are in good condition, the 2010 is pretty much unused
I have a 2009 Is133 and a 2009 Is101 and a Mistral Slalom AB123. I will be racing next year, the Mistral and the Is133 are too close together. I have been advised that an Is111 would be ideal board between the 133 and 101
I need to do one of the following
1. Keep the Mistral and replace with a 2013 Is110 next year
2. Replace the Mistral with a 2007 Is111 and replace with newer Is110 next year
3. Replace the Mistral with the 2010 Is111 and swap out all 3 boards over the next couple of years

Well the is110 is actually a wider board and is probably more akin to the 133 than the 111 making it a great all rounder.
Personally I would go with option 3 but only replace all 3 if they really are either knackered or slowing you down. While the boards have come on over the years there is not a huge amount in it, at least not enough that would be shown by my skills. With option 3 you then have plenty of time to demo possible replacements and make a more informed decision.

I have pretty much made up my mind;
I will buy an exdemo 2013 Is110 and kids will go without Christmas presents
I will use the 133 for 8.6 and 9.6
I will use the 110 for 8.6, 7.8 and 7.0
I will use the 101 for 6.3 and 7.0
I think that my most used board will be the 110 from 17 kts to 25kts of wind
I have been doing a bit of racing and find that on my Mistral 123, I am often first to the mark - even sailing against Pro sailors. My gybing is fine, but I am really struggling out of the gybes in dirty air. I am hoping that the characteristics of the 110 will really help. The fear I have of goind for an older Is111 is that I will struggle to get going quickly after the gybes
The attraction of the 110 is the incredible wind range - I think that this is really important for the mid size board in a slalom quiver. Everyone I have spoken to recomends the 110
What is the real speed difference between the 107 and 110?
