Cool Slot box screws 2011 QUAD

from memory their were some problems with screws, they have been changed perhaps more than once. Board in question is a 2011 QUAD 77L , NEW, yes really new. The screws are installed in the boxes from Cobra.

Photo : on left , fine thread is the screw installed, the right side is what I believe they have been changed to. slightly shorter, different type, more a self tapping screw than a bolt bottom

I have the right side screws from other projects to replace the original.

a. Will they/should they install work ok in the existing threadedhole?

b. dont worry use the ones supplied, worry only later if they become troublesome/damaged ?

Default

ask our team , team doesn't reply. sometimes I dont know is the correct answer. I like my Starboard boards, both of them:: alot anyway.

FWIW I received the answer from Bart @ Kanaha Kai Maui, use the supplied screws, retap with the newer screws if holding the fin is an issue.
