It will not be lost on the regular reader of WIND, that the 2 brands that got the lowest aggregate scores, i.e. LOFT and MAUISAILS, are the two brands that spend the least advertising Euros with that magazine, that once upon a time belonged to MISTRAL (whose boards inevitably got rave reviews!). As a reader of both magazines for more than 25 years, I have always trusted Planchemag's independance, editorial content and test results much more than WIND's. We can also wonder what is the benefit of having 2 categories "planing ability" and "low-end performance", when (highly predictably) each of the 6 sails gets EXACTLY the same score in both categories; why, then, not have a sixth category "top speed" in addition to "high-end performance"?
