Default Carve 111 0r 122

I am looking at getting a carve (07) soon, want some advice on which one is best, should I get the 111 or the 122. I am an intermediate sailor, can waterstart, starting to gybe and want a board for sailing in lakes (tending to be gusty) and sea, plenty of chop. I weigh 100 kgs.

With your 100kg., plus the weight of the board and rig, the 111 will be quite a low volume if you ever need to uphaul when the wind drops.

On the other hand, if you want the board for pretty rough water conditions, the bigger board will bounce around more and be harder to handle.

You didn't say what your current board(s) is, if you are planing and in both footstraps, and what wind conditions/sail sizes you will be using. This info would be helpful.

Hope this helps.
