Thanks LK and Alex for the photo.

What I like about visual images is that there is a marriage between the graphics, the performance concept and the actual shape. With the squared off nose, one wonders whether the performance focus says slalom, or maybe freestyle. Still, Super X attributes could still be represented too. Considering the noticably large tail width forward that's with matched a more pulled-in tail, one must assume quick planning and enhanced maneuverability might be blended here. Really, I think the graphic layout says these things in a classic Starboard way, irrespective of the color palette being employed.

Overall though, the real secret and power in the design is in the rockerline, as that is where the realities find true expression.

Why not build some suspense with the unfolding of final details. Think about it, mid August looms not that far away.

It looks more like a synthesis between s-type and isonic to me ... I can't see to many carve features as was said. I hope this one, goes faster in that case :d

I was interestet in a JP Supersport, as I want a 140 - 150 l 75-80 cm wide detuned slalom board with inboard strap options.

After have seen the Futura, I go for the 14X.

In several freeride test this year, the S-Types were used(with sucess), not Carves, so I belive the new board is a more performance/S-Type shape. Never got a testride on the F.

Cheers

Since I've seen pics of Futura in my Windsurfing magazine here (it was togethere with a new Hellcat Neil Pryde sail..), I think there's no problem to post the images B)

Look now at this one: what the hell of a fin is this?!?

Again, many thanks to LK.

impressive, but weird fin ... I can't explain it, but i think it's so that the lift comes more from the bottom giving it a faster run with less friction ... The outline is stil very S-type/i sonic like, the tail does look more carve-ish ... What the green board on the background?

Thats the Drake Shallow fin. Plastic for beginners boards, like Starsurfer etc.
