Hi there,
I've have a qestion about the s-type. I am thinking for buying the s-type 104 liters, I am also thinking to buy 2-3 sails from The Loft, the O2 5/6.5/7.4 m. But Iam not sure it will be a good combination, I hope you can tell me. Useally I sail on flatwater. good winds Remko Holland |

Hi Remko,
You might want to check out the product specifications online here for the S-Type 104 to see Starboard's sail size recommendations. If one was to strictly follow their guidelines, a 6.5 would be the largest viable sail. However, if you elected to consider the iSonic line, either the iS94 or iS101 would give you a much better shot of using a 7.4, but maybe at the expense of the 5.0 with the iS101. Much depends on the wind conditions most likely found at your locale, and also your weight. |

I had the 2005 ST104 with the 290 fin and used it quite often with a 6.8 on flat water and it went quite well (82Kg), I also used it down to a 4.7 which went well too. I'm quite sure the '07 with the huge 360 fin will take a 7.4. If you don't want to bump around and are just looking for speed the iS might be more what your looking for as sC suggests

I tried a 7.5 on my 104 and it worked OKish but wasn't really happy. I now have iSonics for flatwater and really love em.
You could wait a couple of days until the 15 Aug and see the new Starboard lineup. One of the new offerings might just suit your needs.
