Hi Konstas,
The new F 162 is another step to be faster on a race course. The board get a better planing, better angle up wind and downwind. The biggest step is downwind, the board doesn't heat the water and glide a lot, so we increase the avantage of the F161 up wind and win a lot downwind. All the best. |

As I understand you (Remi) have done most R&D on the new Apollo and on the new F162 as well?
Question:If in competition slalom is done from 15 knots and up and formula will only be done in winds form 8 knots upto 15 knots, how close will the Apollo be on the tail of the F162, performance-wise?? Please take in account to compare both boards in their maximum set up within formula rules. Has the medium and stronger wind performance of the Apollo been so much upgraded that the new Apollo may be a racing option in 8- 15 knots conditions? |

Hi Kontas,
The best fin for the F162 is the R19 soft -- rake + 8cm until 15/17 knots after I like a lot the R13 medium or soft rake + 8cm. All the best |

Hi J22W,
The Apollo is a high performance plaining board, you can plane under 8 knots with the 75cm fin and minimum 11mē. In your configuration I will choose the F162 who is slight faster on Formula rules but with 75cm I will choose the Apollo. All the best |

Hi Konstas,
Each racers have his own trim, but this my best one : Phootstraps all in the back And for the mast base in the middle, but this depend of your style and your sail and fin. This trim is perfect for Severne Code Red 11mē and R19 Soft -- rake +8cm All the best |
