A slogan based on the name of the START board could be: Success Today And Rewards Tomorrow. The slogan also applies to any wide beginner board that helps a beginner learn to windsurf in an hour or in an afternoon. That brings success today. The rewards tomorrow on a beginner board come from the ease of adding new skills as the sailor progresses to fully planning.
The acronym, START, (Success Today And Rewards Tomorrow) came from adapting the slogan a local bank is using for advertise savings accounts which is Savings Today And Rewards Tomorrow. |

Hi Del!
Thanks, the slogan works very nicely for the bank and I'll see if we can make it work at Starboard. Will you be at Worthington this year? Regards, Roger |

Yes, I'm coming to the Worthington Windsurfing Regatta and Unvarnished Music Festival, Worthington MN June 12-13 this month. As a USWA NRT event only 4.5 hours away, it is a must attend event for me.
On April 15th I opened the Midwest Speed Quest event in Worthington with 16.91 knots on a Mistral Equipe with a KA 6.6. I held the top speed (as the only competitor) through April. My paltry speed was blown away May 1st by Ed Melcheson & Arden Anderson who each had 29+ knots and Dave Knight who had 32.02 knots. Will you be at Worthington this year? |

Hi Del,
Yes, they have invited me back to take care of the "Learn to Windsurf" program and some Juniors entry level racing. I'll also have a few 2010 Starboards for demo as well as a full quiver of Sailworks Retro, NX slalom, and Hucker demo sails. If you have anyone who wants to "learn to windsurf", the easiest way possible, try to get them up to Worthington for the Regatta and Awesome Music Festival. See you in Worthington at the end of next week! Roger |
