weight of isonic

Hi!

Does anybody know how the weight of the isonic 2008 is in real? Any experience?

I heard that the IS of 2007 have been little bit heavier than it was said on the homepage.

Also the futura was tested in the German Surf Magazin and it was about 6% heavier than the given weight.

I don't have my iS weight handy, but both my 76 and 101 (2008) were lighter than specs. The 76 by a rather large margin. The weight published on the web site is result of weighting a substantial number of real production boards, so it should me true _in mean_. The 6% variation is also true through, so you can end up with both heavier and lighter copies.

But those weights must also be some kind of avarage. Interestingly, the iSonic ISAF weights are a tad lower than web site weights. Can it be that the manufacturer sends a lower weight to ISAF to avoid trouble if racers get a -6% (or even lower) productions board?

I do not know the strategy and politics regarding what boards the manufacturers send to ISAF, but I guess that the weight must be an average since as I understand it, 10 boards should be sent for measuring at ISAF
