Futura 122 wind range

Hi windsurfers,

i have futura 122, i'd like to use this board with 7.8 north sail, do you think low end for this board and sail can be 12 Knots?

what's wind range of this borad for you?

I'm 90 kg., i'm a good windsurfer.

hi, i'm about the same weight and i use a 7.6 in 12 knots (because i don't have any bigger, yet ..) and i find it really hard, it's a lot of pumping and very little planning. I doubt that a 7.8 will be much different. You're gonig to have to try. I have little problems with it because i surf a 139 L board; 122 might be a bit too small, i don't know, it's borderline if you ask me

To go comfortably in 12 knots, I would advise using a 8.5 freerace sail + 44cm slalom fin. In my experience 12 knots says the wind is most likely 10-14, so a 8.5 at 90kg is the right size.
