Hi Erik,

The 2008 differences on iS111 are the wider tail/planing area (which is improving overall efficency of the board and also the ability to sail it more over powered/over finned). The newer tail outline has also enabled better jibe performance, especially the "carry" thru the bend and exit speed/power. Using a thinner deck section (especially in the mast track area) has allowed better "on the limit" control of the new 111 as the lower (mastfoot) drive and centre of gravity reduces the board's tendency to roll.

2008 iS111 maintains a development of the typical straight tail rocker, rather than DFC rocker profile seen on some of the other 2008 iSonics.

Also the fins in 2008 (red) series are definitely at a higher level than the previous ones.

Overall, these differences make the 2008 noticeably better, but the 2007 is still a great and very versatile board ~ and by no means obsolete with the arrival of 2008.

Cheers ~ Ian
