Default Alex Caviglia Bluewater Classic/Miami/Jan. 18/19/20

We are pleased to announce registration for the Alex Caviglia Bluewater Classic, January 18, 19, 20 at Shake A Leg Miami. Last year this was the second biggest windsurfing regatta in the country (after Tinho's event) and we expect even more folks this year, particularly the international contingent.

Classes are Formula, Kona, RS-X, and Longboard (all boards with centerboards are welcome). 102 competitors last year in windsurfing.

Miami in January......80 degrees, 15-25 knots of wind, great facility, great parties, South Beach....start making plans. It will be BIG with Formula, BIG with Kona, and I am certain we will have lots of raceboards too.

Go to shakealegmiami.org, you will see the registration to the right. There is also a video of last years event there as well.

And yes, the AWIA Windsurfer of the Year, the Movie Star, will be in attendance for all his fans who want to know.

Default 2nd time around upwind January 2007

Cannon EOS 20D, 6 frames a second, Michi was out'a'the picture by the 6th shot, I don't know who shot this action. Wasn't me. Wind was 18-22 knots.

He borrowed Antoine's kit for this event, but used a Kashy fin.

The next two racers are in 2nd and 3rd place.

Gabriel Browne BRA-50, current FW youth world champ.
15 years old @ the time this pic was taken and Super Sexy Steve Sixty Silverester. About 60 years @ the time this was taken.

Clicked off a few more frames for this sequence. Maybe two to three seconds worth.

Some of just want to race and we would still go even if first place was a flu shot.

Congrast to Gabriel Browne BRA-50 @ the worlds. 14th overall is fantastic. Next year the pack will be chase'n you. Hope you make back to Miami this January.

Hi, great to hear about this events in Miami. My congratulations to all the ones that are doing a great job there for windsurfing.

Hey, if you expect more than 100 competitors and maybe more people coming with them (families, friends...) would be good if you speak to PoorBoyzWindsurfing to present an avant premiere of THE WINDSURFING MOVIE. I have seen that movie and really touches the heart of any windsurfer, ex-windsurfer and maybe a non windsurfer. After looking it you just want to go windsurfing...

Hope to see you soon in one event!! we are in summer here in Peru with plenty of events too, but hope soon I can make some time to go there. For sure, you all are invited to the FORMULA FESTIVAL 2008 that will be in Paracas (PERU) in december 2008. For the first time this event will be in America and Paracas, for the ones that have come to Peru...is the windsurfers paradise with perfect stable winds and best nature view.

Best luck to all there in Miami!!
