What fins are the Team Riders using on their Flares?
It sounds like most of the top freestylers are cutting down fins to around 12 to 16 cm's. If this is the case, why not supply the boards with much shorter fins than they are currently supplied with? Perhaps this could be done with the 2009 range? |

Hi There,
Well most of pro riders i know use 16cm 18cm fin's Kiri and I use 14cm fins. we cut down the 21cm Gsport t1 freestyle fins down to 14 - 15 cm. As for now Kiri and I are now sponsored by Choco fin's we have made some 16 - 18 cm small freestyle fin's just for the riders who like small fins, so you don't have to cut and sand. just buy and stick them on your board and get ready to slide.. I just arrive in Maui Today and I will have a talk with starboard guys and maybe we can something work out for the 2009 flare. What about this: Flare 72 16cm fin Flare 88 18 cm fin Flare 99 20cm fin Flare 108 22 cm fin Taty nb-9

Hi Taty,
That sounds a lot better then what they are currently supplied with. And a 'freestyle' fin rather than a 'cross-over' fin would make sense. Going by the Choco website, the Royal Flush and Starfish fins only come in powerbox. Are you and Kiri getting them made for you in US box or are they now available in US as well as Powerbox? Thanks and good luck in Podersdorf! Muzza |

Hi Murray,
Yes it sure sounds better. Choco will be making starfish fins in US box aswell.. so it will be no problem to get your order going, as the starfish will be the pro model freestyle fins. There will be a big discuss over making smaller fin's to come with the flare but maybe there's a chance that we can put two fin's with the flare boards.. it's an option.. not yet secure

Thanks Taty,
You answered my next question... supplying 2 fins with the boards as with the iSonics. That would be great. I'll wait and see if you have any success with making some changes for 2009. Muzza |

Hey Taty, I had a question about your Chocos. What are the differences between the Royal Flush and the Starfish ride wise?
