Default isonic155 or futura155

I am looking to replace my 2001 155 fomula that I liked for early planning and upwind ability.I know I can't have everything but what would be better for lightwind planning, going up wind to catch a gust and coasting though lulls. I also like some manoeuvrability for jibes and old school planning freestyle. I also like to drag race . I would mostly use 8.5 sail, some 9.5 and 7.0. I am 5-11" and 185lbs. thanks

Hi Lake rider,

If you want to have early planning and up wind ability, go for the iSonic 150. It will more easier in jibe compare to 2001 155. But for Free Style not the right board but your 155 also. So no idea of your old school freestyle.

All the best

Thanks Remi, the old school freestyle for me would be duck jibes, carve 360, would like to try monkey jibes, push tacks. I know the 155 fomula is wrong board but it gets me planning to try some of these. I also like just freeriding. I have a 140liter board that I use with the 7.0, but never felt all that comfortable with the 8.5. Will the 150 isonic plane up just as quick as the 155 fomula or maybe quicker? I guess I sacrfice planning for manoeuvrabity with the 155futura probably too close to the 140? thanks

Hi Remi
(Sorry to cut in Lake rider). The 2008 iS150 is a board thats always interested me, but I'v never seen one in the flesh. Is the iS150's tail & nose area alot thiner (less thick) than the iS144? Does the iS150 with its wider tail but thiner rails/tail give it much advantage in low-end power/early planing compaired to the iS144 (narrower but thicker rails)?

Cheers
