Vests and Waveriding

Hi Wave / Team Riders
I do a lot of work with the Yongguns/ProKids here in Denmark.
I mainly work with Wave and Freestyle since this is My passion.

The question is, what is your recommendation regarding a floatation vest and wave riding?

In my early windsurfing days (mid 80 ;-)) we argued that if we had a vest on we could not dive under a swell and did not wear a vest.
Now, I always wear my High Hook vest and the waist harness when sailing (both flat-water and waves) Having got used to it, I find it OK.

What is your experience and recommendation to the young people entering this great sport?
