Hello everybody, I have a lot of questions about the i-sonics...
I currently own a 133 2007 which i use with 7.8 rs4 and 9.0 warp 07. Fins are sl2 46 and drake 40. My weight is 70kgs. 1) What would the 122 08 bring in terms of performance, control and early planning? 2) The 133 07 needed a rake +2 (on the sl2) to be high on chops and effective. Would I need this rake +2 on the 122? 3) Will I lose planning ability in 10 knots wind? 4) What would you do? Thanks a lot |

IF you have a 122, why buy a 133? I would skip a size at least between them.

Hi sylvain. The IS122,46cm fin and the 9m warp you should plane in 10knots no worries
with your weight. Im 85kg and I plane in 10knots with that combo. ta Vando |

Hi Sylvain
I sail '08 iS122 with 7.3 and 9.0 sails and I think it's a brilliant board (most sailors seem to agree with me ). I'm 85 kg.A 95 kg mate is using iS133, I've sailed it several times, and I think at your (light) weight, you have no real advantage with such a wide board (85cm?).With iS122, you'll lose nothing at the light end of the range (early planing), but you'll gain top end control. I don't know anything about sl2 rake, but maybe your iS is different from '08 model (dual planing flat, etc?). I know that '08 stock fins are better performers than 07 & 06 versions. |

Hi Sylvain,
I suppose that you will replace your 133 by the 122, in this case yes it's a good choice for your weigth under in the slalom rules. The planing will be close to be the same with more speed for you. Your 46 fin will be perfect for light winds with the 9m˛. All the best |

Thanks a lot to all
![]() That's right, i intend to change my 133 2007! But I didn't want to lose the planing ability of the 133. I've had problems with the 133, board sticking to the water with the sl2 46 raked 0. I heard the 08 are looser, hope it fixes the problem. So we'll say 122 warp 9.0 and sl2 46 for 10-20 and 122 rs 7.8 and what fin? For the 7.8, would you recommend sl2 40? I can get a hand on a sl4 40, but I don't know what this fin is worth... |

Hi Sylvain,
For the 7,8, yes the SL2 or SL4 are good choice. You will have just more power with the SL2 and more top end speed with the SL4 All the best |

Thanks a lot!
Toujours au top Rémi, et réponse rapide comme dab! Je te contacterai pour un voyage en martinique guadeloupe cet hiver! And for the fins length, what would you propose, 40 or 42 for the 7.8? Last thing, I can choose in the drake fins two of them, knowing I already have the sl2 46. What would you choose? 48 drake for early planning, 46sl2 for medium wind, and drake 42 for high wind? Are 2009 drake better than 2008? I know that's a lot of questions, but they're paramount to me... |

Remi, does the SL2 have the same rake as the Drake Slalom Pro? I tried to use a Select S07 on my Is 122 07 but those fins are too much upright compared to the Drake, causing to board to stick badly. I have re-raked that Select to the same rake as the Drake, and now the board is fully unlocked
