Hi BeC,
the 122 will be perfect with the 7,5. Would recommend fins with 42 to 44cm. The 9,5 is big for the board and your weight. Not the best choice, but you can sail, but you should use a bigger fin. For the 9,5 the 133 or even 144 would be nice. With 122 plus 7,5 ou can sail in a lot of wind. 9,5 plus 122 is not the best idea out of my view. I used an 8,8 plus the 122, have around 85 kg. This combo was nice. But 9,5 has probably more weight ... You should test it out and perhaps you will like it. Overall the 122 has a wide windrange and you can put a 7,0 on the board as well. Would say the best working sizes are 7,5 to 8,5. Hope it helps, Chris

Thank Chris for your comment and help, then I will use 8.5 sail sizes on the isonic 122, I have one jp 114 slalom (for 6.0 m2) and hifly 144 freeride (9.5 m2)...middle would be isonic 122 for 7.5 to 8.5. My home spot is not windy, during winter time we have 16 avergare.

Hi, I've sailed a lot with the iS122 these years and I am very happy with it: i'm waiting for the 121 now..
The board is superb with 7.5 range sails but I think it's even better with the 9! But, since I see you also have a 114 slalom board (I guess about 70 width) I think you should really go for a iS 133. iSonics have a really good range and it's reductive to sail it with only one sail: with the 133 you can go nicely with the 9.5 - 8.3 range and you can put 7.8 down sails on your 114 jp. Sell the hifly! :-) |

Thanks Alex,
I have a hifly free 130 and plan to sell it, Iīm going to buy isonic 122 for 7.5 and 8.5 sails sizes, you are right my jp 144 slalom has 70 width with good sail range (6.0 to 9.0) thatīs why I think to use isonic 122 upper sizes considering its 75 width. thank you. |

Humm, I must have missed something..
I mean, now you have 114 jp, 130 hifly, 144 hifly right? To get the best from your quiver, sell both the hiflys and get a iSonic 133: since the range of the iSonics are great, you would cover the 8.3 - 9.5 range with the iS while you can cover the 7.8-6 with the jp114, no need (IMHO) for other boards.. Today slaloms have huge range, no need to have 5cm steps.. |

Hi, I already got the isonic 122 and tried with 9.5 sail size today, I tell you isonic goes very well with it (ezzy infinity 9.5 sail), no spin out, good control, good speed. Take note of this. Thank you.
