MFC fins for Futura111

Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a 40-42cm fin for my 09 Futura111.Sail is a 7.5m freeride (my biggest sail). My question is, would I be better off with the Liquid Pro fin or a RC fin? I'm assuming the RC would get me planing quicker in light winds and moving faster but is it suitable for the Futura? Any advice appreciated! Cheers.

Hi there

I sailed futuras lots last year: I found for high speed drag racing they benifitted hugely from high quality slalom / race fins, the MFC Rc would be a good choice for your bigger fin.

For windier weather fins like the liquid pro were restoring control but they seemed to lack an "edge" of performance (compared with, say the RC) in the lighter stuff.
