Hi to all!
I am buying a kombat 2007 to replace my very old ahd power wave 74! My sails zone 4.4 and combat 5.2, my weight 72kgs. I want a fast wave board that can jump anything and that is very soft in the chops. I think this is the one. Would you buy another fin or do you think i can use the stock 24cm fin for both my sails? |

I would get a smaller one too, preferably the same Drake Natural wave model. Not only is it a fantastic wave fin but you will also be sure that the sizing is comparable. A 22 would probably be the best bet.
If you only sail B&J stuff, you'll get a long way with the 24 too. |

Thanks for the reply,
I will then get 24 for b&j or irregular winds, and 22 for waves! |

My experiences: I have 87 kg and Combat 79 as my smaler board. Combat is excelent in choppy conditions also in medium waves, faster than many wave boards that my friends are using. When I tried to tune Combat as speed board, I have noticed that my speed was lower from speed that I get using S type and Futura. But in this case I was using 22 wave fin that is much softer than original Drake fin. I belive that the speed will be better if using Drake fin 24. In general: great board!
Best Regards! IchA |
