what fins are good is87-111-133

hi .

I am a boy on 70kg and i have isonic 87 from 2007 and isonic 111 2008 and isonic 133 2009 I will sail whit severne code-red 5.1-6.1-6.7 on is87, what fins are good to this board? and i will sail 8.3 on is111 and again what fins? Is 133 whit 8.3 and 10 I have think about Deboichet sl2 from 26 cm to 48? but on of my freinds tell me at they are too soft? but he are a guy on 90kg?

I hope somebody can help me,

Hi Patrick,

The SL5 line for the iSonic 87 are really amaising on this board (28, 30, 32 & 34)
On the iSonic 111 my favorite go to the SL4 38 to 44 and 133 the R16 and SL6 48, 50 & 52
FOr you weight I will choose 28, 30, 32, 34, 38, 40, 42, (R16) 46 & 48

Just be aware that Remi gives fin sizes for racing; if you go out in marginal (i.e. non racing) conditions on the 133 with a 10 m sail, it is very likely that you will need a fin significantly bigger than 48. I have a 2007 133 (only 80 cm wide): in marginal wind conditions I need a 60 cm fin to go upwind satisfactorily with a 10 m sail; I am 78 kgs.

with RS6 9.8 and 133W85 2008, I use a select RS7 57cm which is very soft and give a lot of power to start at 8 or 9 knots for me (75kg) and for upwind : a 55 cm will give more speed

I think racers use smaller fins because the wind limit is around 15 knots for slalom 42 and the majority use 9.0m²

Well, they give this sizes because slalom racing is full downreach and if you want to go upwind is another thing. All iSonics are made with just one funtion to race in slalom conditions. Not really for upwind which will be a Formula board.
