Hello,
I have a formula board SB 159, I'm trying to figure out a good sail/fin combination with this board. Looking for a light race sail with early planing and good maneuverability, sized around 8.4-8.5 also need a fin that would work well with this sail. I weight 160, and plan on using this combo in light to moderate winds and I sail on flat water. Cheers, Dave |

Hi Dave,
For a light sail and super maneuvrability, I would sugest you an Overdrive 8,5 with a R13 70cm Deboichet fin. The cost is less and give you good result with more confort than a full race sail. All the best

Thanks Remi,
I looked up the Overdrive 8.5 specs on the severn website and it looks like a nice sail. Very similar specs to the NP RS slalom. I couldn't find the actual weight of the sail on the servern website, you wouldn't know it off hand would you? This is an important item to me when comparing sails not sure why it isn't listed. Also, I've noticed a lot of the formula race sails have 4 cams. Is there a huge difference in speed having 4 cams vs 3? Thanks again Dave |

Hi Dave,
I don't have the right weight but in general there are lighter and work great. If you don't compete in Formula at high level, you don't need the Code Red. The Ovedrive is the sail for Formula Experience and can be sure work great and easy to handle. Combine with the new Severne Alu Race Boom, you will get a cheap and fast easy rig. All the best
