Futura 93

I am getting the Futura 93, wood version. I plan to use sails 5.0-6.5 on it and I weigh 165 lbs. What is the range of the 34 cm Drake fin? It looks too big for a 5.0 and but I’m hoping it will hold down a 6.5 sail.

I have a F93 and weigh 85kgs. The 34cm fin will be fine with your weight for 6.5m throw about/blasting conditions, but would suggest something smaller for 5m conditions.

You will not be disappointed with your choice of board as it’s very versatile and one life’s little gems!

I figured I’d have to get a smaller fin, just wasn’t sure about a larger fin. I plan on getting the MFC Liquid Pro fin, 30 cm. I am real eager to try the board, especially with the thin shape. I’ve been using 2000 AHD Freediamonds that have really thin tails and rails, so I know how maneuverable thin rails can be. If the 93 works out then I will replace my aging 149 liter Freediamond with the 144 liter Futura.

Im awaiting to replace my 08 with a 09 when they arrive. As you may of guessed Im very pleased with the board.

The 133 futura has a good sail range and maybe one to consider.
