Reading the specs of iSonic 131 and 144, apart for 3 cm in length, the width is the same 85 cm, same at the tail.
Though, one is marketed as 144 the other as 131 with a different sail range that presumably is only due to the different fin. Am I missing something? Thanks, Nico |

yes, you are missing the thickness of the board. the 144 for design for Antoine but he took the 133 last year for a better range.

Hi Nico,
I recommand this boards for racers over 95 kgs, it's the same shape as 09 but possible to have it in Wood/Carbone, Bjoern will probably choose this one for next year. All the best

just settling on my uber-quiver . . . 80kg looking for some 8-15knot performance with a 2010 8m NS Ram . . . I've been recommended a 121 WC . . . to go with my Flare 98 WC and Quad 86 WC . . . sorry I'm excited and boasting . . . anyway . . . is the 121 the right choice or should I be asking for everyone to confuse me and recommend the 131?

You're not that heavy, and you don't have a mega large sail. So iS121 is a good choice in my opinion, but with one caveat: it won't be fun in 8-10 knots. At all. To have fun in winds this low you can use a 131 and a 9.5-10m rig (or a Formula, or a longboard), but I don't think it will be better solution overall. Go for 121 and stay above 11 knots.

At the lower end of your wind range, the 121 wont feel powered up. 14/15k it will feel good. The 131 will feel more powered up in your wind range, especially if you buy a second more powerfull fin.
