Using slalom/race fin in a freerace board ( Futura) will increase the top speed of the board or not?

Some riders claiming that will increase your speed.Is that true?

I am stuck about 50 km/h max speed with my futura 111.I would like to increase may personel best close to 60 km.

Hi Tmac,

Yes of course this will increase your speed and acceleration, you can go for the recommand fins for iSonic.

To help you more in your choice, what sails are you using?

Tmac - I use Select Sl7's on my Futura111. Best speed I have achieved on mine is 30.1 knots so far.

Hi Remi

I have 6.5 V8 cam sail, 7,2 Hellcat , 7,3 North Daytone 3 cam.

Works good 7,2 Hellcat in 16-20 kn and 6,5 20-28 knot more or less

Below and above 16 -28 kn conditions requires board change according the wind.

1-Should I have different sail/sails or above range is ok? I am 80 kg, 1.80 m.
2-Your fin recommendation for Futura 111 ?Size and brand please.

Also could you recommend me finn for F133 for low wind range like 11-14 kn V6-V8
8 m sail combo?
