Hi Team, Hi All,
1) what planing threshold can one expect with 8 sqm sail, 82 Kgs on either board (with sufficient sailor input)? 2) Does the Kode 122 really behave like a Kode 112 just bigger? quote from whatisthecode just talks about every other size except 122, reason? Kode 94, 103, 112 WoodCarbon uses a combination of a wood spine and ultralight 80g carbon: the composite material matrix that has set the new benchmark. This technology is the first board construction in the World to utilize an ultralight carbon fibre that is flat-weaved for total mechanical efficiency. The unidirectional flat-weave fibre generates equal tensile strength as biaxial or woven carbon fibre, yet at half the specific weight. A layer of 0.6mm Australian pine wood runs along the spine of the board to provide rigidity, additional structural integrity and to increase strength. 3) which one (if any) could be called the real successor of the Aero 117 (the KAs were definitely not anything like the Aeros... still regret having traded my Aero 117 in for a couple of KAs which I had to return for their own safety) |

Hi Duracell,
sorry for the delay. 1).the 8,0 is the limit in the sailsize, but works, needs at least 12 knots, I used the board a lot with 7,5, do you have any 7,0, that would fit great on the 112, but you can have fun with much smaller sailsizes on the 112 2).out of my view the 112 is much more lively, the board feels still small plus turns easy and does not behave like a 122, I really like the 112 for travelling, it is a convertible board, which works in so many different conditions, had fun in waves and total flat water, the 122 can take big sails as wells, runs more quiet, but for sure plans earlier, is more a freerider 3). would say the 112 for sure, but donīt expect a super perfect combo with 8,0 All the best and hope it helps, Chris

Hi
Iīm also considering a code 112. Ypu say that it is possible to use much smaller sail. 1. how small a sail will be ok with the 112? 2. Is there really a tuttle boks on this one and does it really come with a 38 fin Thanks Morten |

Hi Morten,
you easily can have fun with a 5,3 m. It will be definitely ok. Used 7,5 Gator most of the time as the biggest size. The board has a tuttle box and comes with a 38 cm long fin. I often used a 36 cm as well! Finsizing is fine, no worries! The KODE 112 is defintely a funboard with a wide windrange! All the best, Chris
