Default IS 97 or 107 for 7,0-7,8

Hi,

What is the best Isonic 2015 for both 7,0 to 7,8 sails, 97 or 107?

I'm 85 kg and sail in flat water or moderate choppy conditions. Will use the board for GPS speedsurfing and just cruising around. Both sails have to fit equally well, because both wil be used 50/50.

Thanks.

The 97 for gps speed.. lm 85 kg and ride mine with 7.9 mostly.. 7.0 wind i could be on a smaller slalom or speedboard. The 97 planes very early with a 7.9

Here is a clip of 7.9 on 97.. very gusty conditions between 10 and 20knots of wind i was underpowered but got a gust on the flat kn the end.. display speed was 36.5knots

What fin you are using with 7,9? 35 or 37 cm?

Hi,
I personally would suggest the 107. The board has a great wind range with the 7,9m and works excellent with 7,0m. You will have much more fun days on the water. For someone with 70 to 75 kg I would recommend the 97.

It makes sense to have 2 different fin lengths for the 107 like a 38 for the 7,9m and a 36,5 for the same setup for speed sailing or for the combo with the 7,0m. And then you easily can jump down from 107 to the 90 or 87.

Cheers and have fun on the water,

Chris

I have the 2015 Is107, I weight 85kg and am 175cm tall. The Is107 is simply the best all-round I have ever used.

I am only 72kg but I have just bought the new 107 mainly for my 7.8. I had the 2013 110 and sailed it with 7.0 to 8.6. Going for the 107 and the 7.8 only I will probably loose a little at the bottom end but I think I will gain a lot when I get up planing, in chop and in simplicity and range. I have a zfin 38 and a drake dw 36. I have yet to test the board.
Reason for not getting the 97 was not to loose to much in lighter winds. When the 107/7.8 get to big I go freestyling.

Hi Carve - I made the same change from a 2013 Is110 to a 2015 Is107 - with the 8.6, the difference at the bottom end is very small - difference at the top end is massive
