Hi
I have a iSonic 122 and a Evo 80, but I want a board between those 2. I'm thinking of conditions with small waws and mostly 6.9 sail. Is it possible to stand still on the iSonic without sinking (I'm 82kg), or is it almost like a sinker ? I'm very speed oriented, and is it a big differance in speed on those 2 ? Thanks Morten |

I just wanted something abit more versatile and it suits the wind range better here. Also I step down from a IS121 to the IS94 and find it a good step. The IS94 would have to go close to floating you im abit heavier than you and I didn't seem to have to any probs though i wasn't standing still I take more notice next time. My Mate just got a 101 Futura Im yet to have ago it does look pretty nice. Hope his helps

Cool Morton I had the 94 out again on Monday and managed a peak of 37 with a Venom 36 fin no doubt I could have gone quicker with a smaller fin. next time

I mainly sail in choppy conditions but sometimes we get some flat water.
I weigh around 85kg

WOW..... What a board (iSonic 94). I must say that I never have tried a board that was so easy and comfortable to sail the first time !
Little bit choppy and 6.9 sail, but what a speed. They promise wind tomorrow, and I realy looking forward to sail again.Happy sailor ![]() Morten |

I'm thinking of the 36cm Venom for my Futura 93l. If it worked well with the iSonic 94l I think it should be good with my Futura. (And it is strongly recommended by Remi)

Hi I've just purchased the 2010 Carbon iso 94 and have had a few goes at it now. I'm not in Vando's league, and I weigh 90kgs.
It definitely has enough float, to float me in marginal conditions. For my level which is experienced recreational sailor, but never elite, its a bit technical to set up, tuning is critical if you want to get the best out of it. Pro's = Very fast for its size. Gybes fast. Wide wind range, had it out with 7.6m, 6.7m and I think it would be good with a 6.0m. Con's = So stiff it bounces around in the chop a bit. So ride is a bit harsh. Overall = if you want a fast board of that size, would be hard to beat this board, just gonna take some committment at all levels to get best out of it. |
