I might be getting a Futura 93l 2009 today! One's finally come up on the second hand board market here so I've put an offer up selling my JP and I'm going to see the futura at the beach soon.
Just wanted to put this out there cause I'm so pumped on getting my first SB!

I put my JP up for sale on the local windsurfing website and decided I would finance my futura partly by selling the JP. Already have someone coming to see the JP, and my AHD (both for sale) so hopefully this change of boards will only dent my wallet slightly. Can't wait to try it!

After the poorest conditions for a first run on the new board I have reached the following conclusion:
It's insane! Well done to the starboard team for developing such a fantastic board. It jibes itself, with very little input required! The nose rides super high which feels really incredible. It responds so well to foot steering. I'm pretty sure the next time I get good conditions this board will allow me my first planing through jibe. After years of waiting for a 2nd hand Futura 93 in Hong Kong I am a very happy customer

Sailed it again today in better conditions, jumps really well. With the square nose you can get away with jumping off anything, it just takes off by itself. The wind dropped before I could get some serious jibe training in but after this second session I'm still super happy with it.
