Hi Meindert,
In your case, I will recommand you the iSonic 117 Wide, it will be perfect for racers at 80 kgs or less as the light wind board. 117 Wide : 7.8 & 8.6 107 : 7.0, 7.8 87/90 : 6.2 & 7.0 depend of the water condition you get in your place. All the best

Hi Remi,
Thanks for you're answer. Will the 117W also carry a 9.6? I am currently not owning a sail in that size but am considering that when stopping with formula.I am also not sure if a 9.6 adds something in light wind conditions!? Or will a 8.6 also do the job for somebody of my weight? I have a 2007 iSonic 87 now and like it. I usually sail on choppy water with short steep waves. It think the 87 is better controllable in this type of water. What is you're opinion? Meindert |

Hi Meindert,
At 80kgs for racing in the PWA format, 8.6 should be enough, 9.6 will work but will be not efficient as the 8.6. If 86 was perfect for yopur condition go for the 87 who will give more early planning, control, acceleration and speed. Hope this help All the best

@Remi
No It think about it I have never sailed a iSonic 97 or 90... But my guess is the 87 is better in choppy conditions... |

Hi Remi,
which 2 isonics would you recommend not for PWA event but for IFCA slalom event where 2 boards / 4 sails are allowed, 11 knots windlimit. Same weight (80kg), and lets say that you can expect all kind of conditions at the event. Sails 8.4-7.6-6.7-6.0... Thanks |

Hi Meindert,
For your sails, your weight and racing slalom use, you should consider this choice : iSonic 117 Wide : 7.8/8.6 : Deboichet R16 42/46 iSonic 107 : 7.0/7.8 : Deboichet SL4 38/40 iSonic 87 : 6.2/7.0 : Deboichet SL4 34/36 All the best
