86 or 90

Hi, just trying to decide between i Sonic 86 or 90. I'm 125lbs/56kg. Wind range 12-22kts. probably use sail around 6.0mtrs. Please ask one of your lightweight riders what "combos"they like. I know 'one" board can't do it all but can always go with different fins/sails. Want to do some racing /crossings . Please help. Jorge H.

Hi Jorge H,

If you go for one board with racing / crossings program with this range wind, better to chose the iSonic 90 but with a bigger sail like 6.8/7.

Hi Remi would the 101 be a better option for me (125lbs/56kg ) in this range 12-22kts using a +-6.0 sail w/cams or still stick to the 90-94 with more sail area. Just seems like pro's prefer huge boards.Being this light wish way should I go. What do the lightwieghts on the TEAM use ? Thanks, jorge

Hi Jorge H,

You can't compare to the Team, they have 3 boards and 6 sails, in your case you want one board and 1 sail for 12/22 knots. Sure for this wind range you have to change your sails for something close to 7m and the 97 will be the best option because a lot more easy in gust compare to the 101.
But their is something important, did you have mostly 20 knots or 12 knots?

Remi, thanks for your info. Narrowing the range from 15 to 20 would the 2010 94 be competitive with a F11 6.3 and a 7.0 ? Can't get the 97 until 2011....
