Fin for the isonic 111lt 2009

Hello.
I recently bought a 7.8 reflex severne sail to replace the 8.3 code red i had.With the 8.3 sail,i used a 44cm techtonics tomcat,great it low wind but to much leverage in 22+ knots.(i like being ovepowered).Now i have a 38cm techtonics talon.I combined the talon with the 7.8 .A friend of mine tried this setting and found it absolutely great but he weights 75 kg.i weight 97kg and my problem is in low wind 13-16 knots.should i use a bigger one?and what size?

I have an '08 iS 111 and bought a techtonics tomcat 42. It's a little small for my 8.4, perfect for my 7.6 and a little big for my 6.6, but a great one fin compromise. You could go bigger than your 44 because of your weight, but it will probably have a limited range. Possibly a 46 at the most.

I weigh 78kg and use the board mostly with my 7.6 in 12-16 knots, then I go to my 6.6 in 15-20 knots. Too much board for me over 20 knots so I go to a smaller bump and jump board and a 6.0 or smaller sail. Our weight differences make any comparison like apples and oranges, but maybe this will help.

Sell the Tomcat and grab a 42cm Talon. That should give you a clear defined size break and a decent range of use between your 38 and 42:) Talons are getting great speeds in slalom sizes.
