The Millennium In Detail

        

We deliver a contemporary race machine in Carbon Reflex Sandwich and Hollowgram technology; super stable in all conditions with lower drag notably increasing both speed and angles on essential upwind and downwind tacks. Incorporating advanced new aerodynamics from our high speed X-15 program, significant improvements in top speed through lowered drag and improved high speed control were achieved. The extra-large cutaways, more than double the size on the regular Formula plus the extremely short nose help the Millennium plane onto the foil and take-off in the lightest winds. Once up on the foil, the wider tail provides extra leverage and control, while the short nose allows instant reactivity to every input from the rider; maximize every gust, power consistently through lulls, fly deeper downwind and tighter upwind.

Advanced Aero

The new Millennium evolves significantly from its predecessor: Complex drag reduction analysis became essential to increase performance at all points of sail. The new 2cm lower nose rocker and thinner rails at the nose reduce entry drag, whilst massive tail wing extensions significantly clean airflow and reduce exit drag.

Progressive Tail Kick

Replacing cutaways with a progressive tail kick improves takeoff while also reducing drag while flying. Upwind power is further improved with an additional 1.5cm width increase at the back foot.

Advanced Hydro

The side cutaways concept has been pushed to the max to allow enough speed in displacement mode to get on foil, so you can take off even before reaching planing speeds. The underside of the Millennium is shaped like a teardrop from the nose to the tail to reduce hydrodynamic drag and increase aerodynamic efficiency. As a result, the board is very slippery and stable through the air.

Perfect Stance

Optimised deck profile underfoot combines with the latest generation of Drake Ultralight straps. These straps are ideal for foiling when foot pressure is lighter than regular windsurfing. The Ultralight straps elongated screw slots allow racers to set their back strap extra-wide using hole spacings further apart. This allows the rider’s foot to shift forward for downwind and backwards for upwind. Perfect trim adjustment on the fly.

Perfect Control

With fewer impacts to absorb when foiling, we’ve designed these pads to be extra thin for added control and performance, while retaining the diamond grooves for perfect grip.

New Stronger Foil Torx Screw

The new Millenniums are provided with the new thicker and stronger M8x60 Torx T30 Screw to handle better the pressure particularly for the connection between the Foil Box and the Foil Mast.

Foil Mast Spacers

Inside the box of the Millennium you will also find our new spacers of 1mm, 2mm and 3mm that allows you to trim your foil angle.

The Carbon Reflex construction is our lightest, proven flagship construction and has some of the lowest warranty rates in the industry. Using the lightest biaxial carbon provides more feel, more responsiveness and more controlled flex than conventional boards. On the water, this construction will provide you with ultimate performance. It delivers the most direct feedback from the foil and allows for quicker and more precise movements.
